24 Volt Outback Inverter
Chargers
Inverter chargers combine
an inverter and a battery charger
in one complete unit. They can be used with a solar
PV array or wind turbine power system or when
another there is another AC power source available,
such as a diesel generator or utility power. They can
operate as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). These
intelligent devices can behave either as an inverter
or a charger and can switch between one and other as
required. Inverter chargers can be connected to the
electricity grid, but they are not grid tied inverters.
OutBack true sinewave inverter/chargers
are a complete power solution. They incorporate a DC
to AC true sinewave inverter, battery
charger and AC transfer switch all housed within
a die-cast aluminum chassis. “Smart” multistage
battery charging means less generator “on”
time, and extends the life of your batteries.
The FX series uses a sealed chassis
that can operate in the harshest environmental conditions
such as high humidity and corrosive salt air - excellent
for coastal and marine installations.
The VFX series uses a vented chassis
with “bug proof” screened openings that
allow higher AC output power.

The worlds only fully sealed Inverter/Charger
for those tough conditions found in Australia
and eliminates the common cause of inverter failure,
contamination with dust and insects on the power
electronics. Outback Inverter/Chargers can be
stacked up to 10 inverters in parallel utilising
the Outback "Hub" giving large power
capability, and true redundancy. A failure of
one inverter doesn’t mean total loss of
system, units can be simply changed over with
minimal inconvenience to the customer. Also three
inverters can be configured as three phase. Extremely
high surge capability, large battery charger capacity,
self protection modes and able to withstand almost
anything put to it including poor Generator sets.

For greater power the Outback Inverter/Charger
is available in a "Vented" version with
a filtered "Bug proof" design for those
less harsh environments. The filter can simply
be washed out when needed. Outback Inverter/Chargers
can be stacked up to 10 inverters in parallel
